Keystone Science School has a variety of corporate partners, and we’re thankful for the partnership with SummitCove Vacation Lodging and Property Management. They have made a positive impact on KSS and their employees through our long-standing partnership. Read more about our partnership and this strong community supporter.
SummitCove Vacation Lodging and Property Management offers over 350 vacation rentals at Keystone Resort, Colorado. We are a full service property management company and also offer HOA Management services, contract housekeeping services, maintenance services and much more. We have been in business in Summit County since 2001 and are committed to providing the best experience possible for our employees, owners and guests. Co-owner and Sales Manager of SummitCove, Cheri Reeburgh, opens up about why Keystone Science School is important to her family personally and the company.
In 2009, we were spending summers in Keystone and the school year in our home in Golden, CO. It was fantastic to be in the mountains, but our kids didn’t have friends in the area and we needed to find a way to entertain our 5 year old son. A friend told me she had heard great things about Keystone Science Camp, so I signed my son up for a week of summer camp. He loved adventures, learning about science and making new friends. As soon as my daughter was old enough, she joined him at camp for a couple of weeks every summer. They learned so much about hiking, camping, nature and the Hot Pink Gorilla! They both progressed from day camp all the way through to backpacking adventure camp. My son was a camper for 7 years and is considering returning to be a camp counselor during his college years. My daughter is still trying to figure out how to do a week of camp between her high school sports commitments.
Because of our own kids’ love for KSS, we started a scholarship in 2016 for SummitCove employees’ children. Any employee who wants to send their child to camp can apply for a campership. We typically see two to three new SummitCove children at KSS each summer. Our remote employees love spending time in Keystone while their kids are at camp. Whether they are vacationing or working remote, they enjoy becoming more familiar with Summit County. In 2019 SummitCove jumped at the chance to become a corporate sponsor of KSS because of the value the camp has brought to our children, our employees’ children and the Summit County Community. We hope to assist KSS with their mission to provide high quality programming to diverse communities.
We always enjoy the end of summer opportunity to attend the fundraising dinner at Dos Locos for KSS and plan to donate a 5 night stay for summer 2023 to the auction. For anybody interested in attending the event, we will offer a package including dinner tickets and a two night stay in a condo in Keystone. Plus you’ll be able to bid on the 5-night stay if you’re interested!
