Earlier this season, we welcomed a group of adventurous students from Gunsaulus Scholastic Academy—all the way from Chicago! These middle schoolers swapped city streets for snowy trails as they dove into a four-day outdoor education experience here at Keystone Science School.
Their visit was packed with hands-on science and snowy fun. From exploring snow science and learning about mountain ecosystems to strapping on cross-country skis for the very first time, these students embraced every challenge with enthusiasm and curiosity.
For many, it was their first time seeing the mountains—let alone skiing through them. But with each glide, laugh, and snowflake, they discovered new confidence and a deeper connection to the natural world.
