Keystone Voyagers – Ages 12-14
Keystone Voyagers (KV) is our field-based wilderness program, focused on growing leadership and outdoor skills. Step out of your comfort zone, and immerse yourself in the outdoor experience. Walk away from the trip with new skills, confidence, and a newfound appreciation of the natural world.
All trips start at Keystone Science School before traveling to a different region of Colorado. Each itinerary has a focus on leadership development taught through different adventure activities. Participate in activities such as rock climbing, mountaineering, canyon hiking, canoeing and whitewater rafting.

Session Dates & Rates
|Session 1||6/10-6/15||$1,349||Colorado Great Sand Dunes: This trip is exclusively for girls. Camp and hike in Great Sand Dunes National Park. After exploring all aspects of the Park you will white water raft through Browns Canyon National Monument and enjoy a celebration soak in some local hot springs. Throughout the trip, you will explore topics of leadership and positive identity.|
|Session 1||6/10-6/15||$1,349||Filling Fast Colorado Great Sand Dunes: This trip is exclusively for boys. While exploring the mountains and sand dunes of Great Sand Dunes National Park you will hone your leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and communication. After exploring all aspects of the Park you will white water raft through Browns Canyon National Monument and enjoy a celebration soak in some local hot springs.|
|Session 2||6/17-6/22||$1,349||Colorado Rivers and Canyons: Explore all the adventures within Western Colorado. You will hike through the sandstone canyons while on a canyoneering adventure and float down the Colorado River by stand up paddleboard. Each night you will return to camp and experience the dark sky of the high desert of Colorado.|
|Session 3||6/24-6/29||$1,349||Filling Fast Gunnison River Canoeing: Experience canyon country of Western Colorado by canoe. You will load up all your gear and supplies and float down the Gunnison River. Each night you will camp in a new location and hike the many side canyons of Dominguez-Escalante National Conservation Area. At the close of the expedition, you will get a fun-filled hot springs experience before heading back to the Keystone Science School campus.|
|Session 4||7/8-7/13||$1,349||Waitlist Only Rocky Mountain National Park Trails & Peaks: Spend an entire week camping and exploring in Rocky Mountain National Park including pristine lakes, granite ridgelines, and majestic valleys. At the close of the trip, you will go on a zip lining adventure.|
|Session 5||7/15-7/20||$1,349||Waitlist Only Browns Canyon Whitewater and Climbing Adventures: Explore all that is the Arkansas River Valley. Throughout this trip you will get a first had lesson of the power of the Arkansas River. The first section of the trip you will climb on the rock carved by the river and learn new climbing skills. The final section of the trip you will jump on a whitewater raft and challenge yourself on the class III rapids going through Browns Canyon National Monument. The last day of the trip will be spent relaxing and recuperating in the hot springs created from natural geothermal pools which floated to the surface of the bedrock which shaped the Valley.|
|Session 6||7/22-7/27||$1,349||Waitlist Only Rocky Mountain National Park Cliffs & Rivers: Explore all things in and around Rocky Mountain National Park. You will be camping within the granite mountains each night as you prepare for the next day’s adventure. The trip starts with a stand-up paddle board experience, followed by a hike through the park. You will get away from the crowds and explore the pristine lakes and mountains within the National Park. The last two days of the program you will learn about the climbing history as you practice your rock climbing skills on the same rock faces originally climbed with natural braided ropes and hiking boots.|
|Session 7||7/29-8/3||$1,349||Summit Week: Explore Summit County and gain views from almost every vantage point as you rock climb and go on summit attempts of the surrounding mountains. Throughout the program, you will learn about basic mountaineering and rock climbing techniques. You will put those skills to the test as you hike and learn the details of high alpine travel.|
Combine Multiple Sessions with Fusion Weekends
Extend the camp magic with our Fusion Weekends. Campers can add days to their camp experience or connect two, three, even four weeks of camp! Every Fusion Weekend will include an on-site camping adventure, a swimming trip, and other special activities. Camper's laundry will be done during the Fusion Weekend.

Morrison Drop-off/Pick-Up Location
New for the Summer of Curiosity we’re offering a Morrison pick up and drop location for all our overnight programs. You can now meet Keystone Science School and your counselors at the T-Rex Park and Ride in Morrison. Be sure to select the Morrison Drop-Off-Pick-Up within the registration options.
- Fee: $40 each way
- Drop Off: 10:00am-10:30am
- Pick Up: 1:30pm-2:00pm
You can travel by plane to Denver International Airport. We’ll be sure you are greeted by a KSS Counselor when you walk off of the plane. We send our counselors behind the TSA security checkpoints to greet everyone directly at the airline gate so there is no need to for you to navigate the airport on your own. Be sure to check the arrival or departure option within the registration options and book your travel to arrive and depart within the specified time windows.
