Girls in STEM - Yoga & Nutrition - Day Program
During this yoga and nutrition program, participating girls will have the opportunity to explore the mind-body connection through techniques to bring both mental and physical well-being into their daily routine. Girls will experience two yoga sessions - one focused externally on human anatomy and musculoskeletal system, and the other focused internally on connecting to themselves. Girls will discover the science behind mindfulness, meditation techniques, and essential oils. They will also learn about nutrition and how the food we eat can affect how we feel. Girls will work together in teams to make a healthy meal and snacks during the program. Girls will walk away with some healthy recipes to try at home and a better understanding of different techniques to promote wellness in their own lives. Keystone Science School is bringing this program to all girls regardless of yoga or meditation experience.
