Meet Eric Rightor: Our New Executive Director!
Big news at Keystone Science School! We’re excited to welcome Eric Rightor as our new Executive Director starting January 21st, 2025. Eric’s love for the outdoors, youth development, and adventure makes him the perfect fit to lead KSS into an exciting future.
Eric grew up spending summers at camp in New Hampshire, sparking a lifelong passion for outdoor education. From there, he held leadership roles at overnight camps in the Greater Boston YMCA and Camp Bauercrest before helping launch an overnight camp with Avid4 Adventure in Colorado. Most recently, Eric served as the Executive Director at The Granite YMCA in Goffstown, NH where he ensured quality service for 3,900 members and over 170 staff.. Along the way, he discovered KSS and fell in love with our mission of inspiring personal growth and critical thinking through outdoor learning. Now, he’s thrilled to join the team!
When Eric isn’t leading programs or creating amazing camp experiences, you’ll find him exploring trails with his wife Mel, daughter Siena, and their pup Roscoe, skiing down mountains, or hosting friends around a campfire.
We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Michelle Perl for her outstanding service as Interim Executive Director. Michelle’s leadership and dedication during this transition have been invaluable in maintaining the strength of our programs and the KSS community.
We’re so excited for Eric’s leadership and can’t wait for you to meet him as we continue to inspire curiosity and adventure at KSS. Stay tuned for more ways to connect and welcome Eric to the KSS family!
