Mission Moment: H2O Outdoors 2024

_____________

Last October, our H2O Outdoors program welcomed a small but passionate group of six high school students to explore the world of water management in Summit County, Colorado. Though the program was open to all high school students, it ended up being an all-female cohort, which gave the event a unique “Girls in STEM” vibe.

Over the course of three days, the participants learned about the science of water conservation, treatment, and the environmental impact of water management. They visited critical water sites like Loveland Pass and engaged with experts in the field, gaining valuable insights into potential careers in water management and the real-world challenges our water systems face.

Want to hear more about their experience? Watch our short mission moment video where the participants share their personal reflections on the program and what they gained from their time in the field. It’s a powerful glimpse into their journey of learning and growth!

We look forward to continuing to inspire the next generation of young students to explore the exciting world of STEM and water management.
