School Year Support - K-8th Grade
Keystone Science School is collaborating with several youth programs across Summit County in an effort to support the changing needs of K-8 students. Throughout the fall semester, KSS is offering programmatic options to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of students. We understand the times are uncertain and the educational landscape is shifting. It is our intention to supplement the work of our public school system and support working families in their need for programming.

Each child will receive academic support with the virtual curriculum provided by their hometown school. KSS Instructors will provide the needed motivation, structure, and tutoring to support students on their pathway to academic success. Students will be required to bring their own computer or electronic device and be prepared to engage in their remote curriculum.
Students will be engaged in social-emotional learning activities throughout each day of programming. Activities will be thoughtfully designed to address all components of a child’s social and emotional development:
- Self Management
- Responsible Decision Making
- Relationship Skills
Health & Safety
For over 40 years, Keystone Science School’s top priority has been the health and safety of those we serve. As developments progress with COVID-19, we have remained proactive in assessing our standard precautions against the latest recommendations from the CDC, WHO, and local health authorities.
We’re also continuing to follow the strict protocols required by Colorado child care licensing and American Camp Association accreditation to create a clean and sanitary environment. Please refer to our comprehensive health and safety pages which explain both our long-standing best practices, as well as new actions implemented in light of COVID-19:
We understand that COVID-19 has placed hardships on many in our community. In order to serve the growing financial need, Keystone Science School has developed a scholarship program specific to our school year offerings. We encourage all families with demonstrated financial need to apply by following the steps below:
- Register for the session (this will require a 10% deposit for the session and saves your space)
- Complete the scholarship application to express financial need
- Wait to hear from us, thank you for your patience
Just as a reminder: we ask that all families contribute financially regardless of need to ensure enrollment and attendance. Typically our scholarship awards do not exceed 50% of the session tuition unless an exception for additional financial assistance can be determined.
