Beyond the Classroom - June 6-7,2019
W.R. Grace & Lockheed Martin Sponsored Teachers
Through the generous sponsorship of W.R. Grace and Lockheed Martin, Keystone Science School is able to offer Beyond the Classroom to teachers within a 60 miles proximity to W.R. Grace and Lockheed Martin plant sites. All selected W.R. Grace and Lockheed Martin sponsored teachers can participate in the training free of charge and will receive a $500 travel sponsorship after successful completion of the training. All teachers will also have the opportunity to receive CEU’s for Beyond the Classroom training at the expense of each sponsored teacher.
We will be utilizing Keystone Science School's 10 step framework for exploring environmental issues (PDF).

Application Process & Procedure
|April 14, 2019||Lockheed Martin Application Deadline|
|April 29, 2019||Notification of Selection: All applicants will be notified of their acceptance.|
|May 1, 2019||W.R. Grace Application Deadline|
|May 12, 2019||Registration Deadline: All selected teachers must complete their official registration and solidify their travel arrangements.|
|June 6-7, 2019||Beyond the Classroom Teacher Training|
|June 14, 2019||Travel Reimbursements: All travel reimbursements will be mailed to participating teachers to the address provided within the registration process.|
Continuing Education Units
Teachers can receive 1.0 CEU’s for participation in this training through the Colorado School of Mines. There is an additional cost of $55 for the CEU’s and teachers must pay by check on the last day of the training.
Logistics: Meals & Lodging
Teachers will be provided all meals throughout the training which starts with breakfast on June 6th and ends with lunch on June 7th. We have a full-service kitchen capable of meeting any dietary restrictions of participating teachers.
Lodging is included with the program. Teachers are welcome to arrive on the evening of June 5th and stay an additional night departing on the morning of June 8th. All teachers will be provided a bunk within our spacious dorms and will be assigned to a room. Please note that you will have a roommate of your same gender. Within the registration process, you are welcome to make roommate requests if you are traveling with a co-teacher. Take a virtual tour of the dorms.
