Staff’s Favorite Science Experiment: Water Testing

_____________

At Keystone Science School, we love asking our staff fun questions—especially ones that bring back memories of cool science experiments with campers. At the end of last summer, we asked: What’s your favorite teaching moment or science experiment you’ve done at camp?

One of our Pathfinder Day Camp Counselors didn’t hesitate—aquatic ecology and water testing was her top pick! Whether it’s searching for tiny macroinvertebrates in a stream or testing water for pH and oxygen levels, this experiment gets campers curious, hands-on, and fully immersed (sometimes literally!) in nature.

It’s a perfect example of how science comes to life outside the classroom.
