Keystone Science School values the selfless efforts of volunteers. Our needs vary throughout the year from one-time assignments to ongoing projects. Past volunteer projects have included beautification of our campus, data entry, program involvement, and more.

Dillon Farmer's Market Booth Volunteers Wanted
KSS needs help supporting our outreach efforts and running STEM-based experiments this Summer at the local Farmers Market in Dillon. We plan have a booth there on 7/9, 7/30, 8/13, and 8/20. We will likely need volunteers from 8am-3pm, which includes set-up and tear down. Let us know if you would be interested in volunteering for one or more of these dates!
Volunteer Day - Friday October 1, 2021 - 2pm-5pm
Help Keystone Science School get prepared for winter programs! We have a wide variety of projects which require an extra set of hands. We will require all volunteers to maintain 6’ of physical distance and masks. Kids are welcome! RSVP is not required but encouraged.
Areas of Opportunity
Marketing & Events
Whether in Summit County, Denver or Boulder, support KSS at science festivals and fairs by helping marketing efforts and interacting with guests using STEM-based experiments.
After School CATCH
Run, play and teach elementary school children about exercise and nutrition through fun, interactive games, in any of the four Summit County Elementary School locations.
Girls in STEM
Inspire young women to pursue careers in science by supporting program logistics, getting hands-on with exciting projects and sharing your experiences in science on KSS campus and at locations throughout Summit County.
With a 23 acre campus, KSS has many projects to offer volunteers who love hands-on work, including painting dorms, planting shrubs, maintaining our fleet of vans, trail maintenance and small building projects.
Clerical, Admin, & Data Entry
Help support our administrative efforts in an open, friendly and fun office space, from entering participant survey data, to making phone calls, to creating marketing materials, KSS has an array of office work for volunteers.
Dress up, play games, support logistics and help create an inclusive and fun environment for children aged 5-17 in our Harvest and Legacy Camps.
